Before becoming a nurse, she worked in geriatrics, infection control, staff education and occupational health, as a caregiver for the elderly, a pre-school teacher’s aide and a Direct Support Professional for people with developmental disabilities.
Elmer has been in the banking/business industry since 2004 after graduating with a BS in Accountancy.
Highly recommended by the family members of her residents, her love, compassion and patience towards her residents are the key as to why she remained in the industry for a long time.
Melanie has been a nurse at a skilled nursing facility since the beginning of 2014.
ABOUT US
Genesis is a 6 bed, family- owned Care Home (RCFE) along South McDowell Blvd. in Petaluma, CA, serving residents aged 60 years and older. It is located close to the senior center, multiple shopping centers, parks and recreation centers, fire departments and the local hospital. Its strategic location, along with the over twenty years of caring experience by our staff, make it a convenient, safe and pleasant haven for your loved ones!

Our mission is to provide residents with high quality, individualized CARE and to provide a safe, comfortable HOME environment in our facility. We acknowledge that each resident is unique, with different needs that need to be met in different ways. We strive to promote independence and self-respect by providing the assistance and supervision needed to help our residents reach their goals. We advocate good health and well-being by ensuring that residents’ needs are provided, engaging them in activities and involving them in the community.
